We are an indie klezmer band based in Madison, Wisconsin. Tsuzamen means “together” in Yiddish, and we seek to build community and connections through our music. We draw from rock, bluegrass, blues, funk, and other traditions, bringing them into conversation with klezmer and Yiddish music. Call it klezcore! Call it klezgrass! Call it folk with chutzpah! By whatever name, our music uplifts and unites.
Electrified by Eleanor Mayerfeld’s lead vocals and violin, connected to the earth by Samantha Bosco’s bass and guitar, sent aloft by Meg Lamm’s violin, moved by the call of Daniel Grabois’s French horn and Continuum, made magic by Alina Plourde's oboe, powered by Todd Hammes's drumming, and melded together with Michael Bell’s guitar/mandolin/banjo, our music reaches out and exhilarates.

As part of Klez Fest Midwest, we are excited that two of Tsuzamen's members will be performing a kid's show at the Hamel Music Center in Madison. Expect some fun songs in both Yiddish and English!
